Dogs Trust Worldwide understands the scale of suffering faced by dogs all around the world and, alongside our major programmes, we also run a small grants programme to help registered, not for profit organisations improve the welfare of more dogs within their communities.
We will support dog welfare projects anywhere in the world, except for the UK, USA and the Republic of Ireland. Dogs Trust has its own programmes in the UK and Republic of Ireland and applicants from the USA should refer to the Dogs Trust USA website for grant availability and process: https://www.dogstrustusa.org/our-grants/
In 2022 our focus for our small grants programme is on rehoming.
Projects we may fund include those aiming to make material improvements to existing rehoming centre or shelter infrastructure, those requiring equipment to improve the running of shelters or rehoming centres, or those directly aimed at improving the welfare of the dogs in the shelter through providing enrichment opportunities. Projects that aim to increase and improve local adoptions, including through fostering programmes will also be considered.
The maximum grant that can be awarded through this small grants programme is £10,000.
Our 2022 round for Small Grants Application is now open and will close on Monday 15th August 2022.
