The International Training Programme takes place twice a year, in March and September, at our state of the art Dogs Trust Rehoming Centre in West London. Join a small group of delegates for an intensive four day whistle stop tour of animal welfare, including talks from expert speakers, networking opportunities and a chance to ask any questions and share ideas with other organisations. If you already have a shelter, we focus on how to run it efficiently and look at the importance of education and fundraising. If you don’t already have a shelter, we can advise you on the best way to affect real change without one.

Feedback from some of our international delegates
‘What I loved most was that every speaker was showing the highest level of compassion for animals. It is like they were speaking with one voice’.
‘We returned so full of ideas and so grateful they could learn so much about animal protection and also about friends we have now all over the world’.
'ITP and my further practical training at Harefield rehoming centre were life-changing opportunities that provided me with immense knowledge and hands-on experiences in international standards of animal welfare! Thank you to everyone at Dogs Trust for helping teaching and sharing your wealth of expertise and resources.'
